Young Entrepreneurship Program, August-November 2023
Aavishkaar Foundation, part of the Aavishkaar Group, hosted the 2nd leg of its flagship ‘Young Entrepreneurship Program’ in Ghazipur on 4th November at The Grand Palace Hotel. Aligned with the Foundation’s larger objective of ‘Economic Entrepreneurship to Social Equity’, this was the 2nd program after the success of its pilot initiative in Varanasi in April.
Commenting on the initiative, Vineet Rai, Founder and Chairman, Aavishkaar Group said, “Witnessing the immense conviction and talent of the students in Ghazipur has further reiterated our belief in the power of Entrepreneurship to build Purvanchal, and support India’s march towards a USD 10 trillion economy. This will also contribute significantly to the global cause of Sustainable Development Goals”.
About the Programme
With the vision to inculcate entrepreneurial curiosity amongst the youth and lay the founding blocks towards a thriving ecosystem in Eastern UP, the Young Entrepreneurship Program saw participation from 3,285 students across 10 Government Schools and 6 Government Colleges to design and present impactful and sustainable business plans. 17 Finalists presented their ideas to the Grand Jury, from which 6 winning teams were identified with 3 schools and 3 colleges winning top honours.

3 School Winners
From the Government school’s cohort, ‘Janta Intercollege, Jeevpur’ won the ‘Smt. Sushila Rai Award for Women in Entrepreneurship’, for their ‘Little Star Playschool’ idea. ‘Hindu Intercollege, Zamania’ won the ‘Chandrashekhar Azad Award for Innovation, Courage and Conviction’, for their ‘Energetic Tiffin Service’ idea. ‘Nehru Vidhyapeeth Reotipur’ won the ‘Rani Lakshmi Bai Award for Leadership’, for their ‘Shree Dhenu Doodh Utpad’ idea.
3 College Winners
From the Government college teams that participated, ‘Swami Sahajanand Saraswati Post Graduate College’ won the ‘Smt. Sushila Rai Award for Women in Entrepreneurship’, for their idea of ‘Pure Nest Organics’. ‘Government Polytechnic Kuru Pindra Varanasi Ghazipur’ won the ‘Veer Abdul Hamid Award for Rural Youth Entrepreneurship’, for their ‘Immortalz Tex’ idea. ‘Government Girls’ PG College Mahuabag’ won the ‘Rani Lakshmi Bai Award for Leadership’, for their ‘Ecofriendly Cups & Plates’ idea.
