Meet Abhishek Singh, an entrepreneur turning coconut waste into a scalable clean-tech opportunity.

As Founder of Cocycle Horizon Pvt. Ltd., a Gorakhpur headquartered enterprise, Abhishek is building a circular waste-to-wealth model that transforms tender coconut husk waste into high-value coir products, improving hygiene for street vendors, reducing environmental pollution, and unlocking new income streams across the coconut value chain.

We are delighted to share that Cocycle Horizon Pvt. Ltd. was recognised as a startup winner by Aavishkaar Foundation (Aavishkaar Group) under their flagship Entrepreneur Investing Program 2026, which identifies and supports promising startups from across Uttar Pradesh. At the recently concluded 2nd Edition of the Sankalp Bharat Summit, Lucknow (2025), Cocycle Horizon also won ₹10 Lakhs along with the prestigious Rani Lakshmi Bai Award in the Existing Entrepreneur Category.

The problem Cocycle Horizon is addressing is both urgent and massive. Street vendors face unhygienic coconut carts, high daily waste disposal costs, and penalties due to improper husk disposal. Unmanaged tender coconut husks generate nearly 16 lakh tons of waste annually from 107 crore coconuts, resulting in an estimated ₹4,000 crore value loss.

Cocycle Horizon’s clean-tech solution directly collects and processes coconut husks from vendors, improving sanitation while eliminating disposal burdens. The venture has generated revenue since inception and achieves break-even at 35–40% capacity utilization.

This entrepreneurial momentum strongly aligns with the Union Budget 2026, which announced major support for coconut-based value-added industries, spanning oil, water, coir, cosmetics, and food, under the newly launched Coconut Promotion Scheme. With India already the world’s largest coconut producer, such targeted initiatives aim to enhance farmer incomes, strengthen exports, and unlock coconut’s full economic potential.

We thank the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the Hon’ble Finance Minister for this visionary step that empowers entrepreneurs, strengthens farmer livelihoods, and positions Indian coconut as a global value-added brand.
